Understand your letters and records

Claim Raven explains VA decision letters and reviews the records you provide. You can also read VA condition guides and search decisions from the Board of Veterans' Appeals. Other veterans' decisions can help explain an issue, but they don't predict what VA will decide in your claim.

Know where the software stops

Claim Raven isn't an accredited representative. It doesn't file your claim or represent you before VA. Its explanations and drafts can contain mistakes, so check them against your records and discuss questions with your representative. Software can't provide an independent medical opinion.

Bring questions to your appointment

Bring your VA letter, the records you want to discuss, and a short list of questions. Ask your representative to explain anything you're unsure about, including evidence VA says is missing. You decide what to share and what to file.

Find free help with your claim

An accredited VSO representative can help you file a claim or request a decision review at no charge. Use VA's directory to find a representative and check their accreditation. Contact the office to ask about availability and what to bring.

Ask about our free 90-day pilot. It includes staff accounts, a page of free tools for your veterans, and a written summary at the end. Your office continues to handle representation and filing. Email us to discuss how the pilot would work for your office.
