How do I delete my account and data?

Account deletion is currently a verified support process, not a self-service Settings action. Email Claim Raven from the address on your account, complete identity verification, and wait for confirmation that required active-system deletion steps succeeded.

Overview

Email help@claimraven.com from the address on your Claim Raven account with the subject line "Delete My Data." Account deletion is currently a verified support process; there is no self-service Delete account button in Settings. Deletion is permanent Download anything you want to keep before requesting deletion. Do not email your password, Social Security number, VA file number, medical records, or identity documents unless support gives you a specific secure verification method.

Request account deletion

Email the support address From the email address on your account, send a message to help@claimraven.com with the subject line "Delete My Data." If you cannot use that address, explain that in the message and expect additional identity verification. Identify the account without sending claim records Include the account email address or phone number needed to locate the account. Do not attach VA records or send account passwords. Complete identity verification Support must verify that the request belongs to the account holder before an authorized administrator can start the destructive workflow. Wait for active-system confirmation Claim Raven confirms completion only after the required active storage, processor, VA-connection, database, and account steps succeed. The public Privacy Policy says requests are handled within the period required by applicable law, generally 45 days.

What the verified workflow does

Checks for records that may belong to a practitioner, supporter, or another veteran and routes those records to manual privacy review instead of deleting them based only on an email match. Removes temporary sessions and inventories account-owned Ask Raven, Claim Workspace, Raven Cipher, and Raven Scan objects before deleting validated storage objects. Submits the configured marketing-contact deletion request, removes the billing customer when one exists, clears local VA credentials, and makes a best-effort request to revoke VA access remotely. Deletes or deidentifies covered account, product, support, and analytics records, then deletes the Claim Raven account row last. Stops and records the request as blocked if a required step fails, so support can retry instead of reporting a deletion that did not finish. Active-system completion has limits Some legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, support, dispute, or platform-integrity records may be retained. Deidentified aggregate records may also remain. Processor propagation and backup handling follow applicable contracts, retention schedules, and legal deadlines, so active-system completion is not a promise that every provider or backup copy disappears immediately.

Choose the control that matches your goal

Deleting an account, disconnecting VA access, and deleting one saved item have different effects. Goal Control What remains Delete the Claim Raven account and covered account data Send a verified Delete My Data request to help@claimraven.com Limited records permitted or required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, security, support, dispute, backup, or platform-integrity purposes may remain. Stop Claim Raven from receiving new VA profile information Disconnect Claim Raven in VA.gov and use the VA connection control in Claim Raven The Claim Raven account stays open. Previously saved VA Bridge imports, analyses, and other account content are not automatically deleted. Remove one saved conversation, report, import, or record Use that feature's available delete control The account and unrelated saved content remain. Disconnecting VA access is not account deletion VA says disconnecting a connected app stops it from receiving new profile information, but the app may still store information shared earlier. Use the separate Claim Raven deletion request when you want covered stored account data removed. Disconnecting does not delete or change your ID.me, Login.gov, or VA.gov account.
