What can Claim Raven access?

Claim Raven can receive only the VA information covered by the permissions you approve and the connection available to your account. Current read-only connections may provide claim status and submission history, disability ratings, service history, and veteran status. Claim Raven does not currently request enrolled-benefits access, cannot change VA records, and does not file a claim through this connection.

Overview

The permission screen controls Before approving a VA connection, read the information and permissions shown by VA. VA says a connected app can access only the permissions listed when you authorize it. Available Claim Raven connections can change as VA approvals, APIs, and product releases change.

How Claim Raven may receive VA information

Each connection has a different source and boundary. A listed data type is available only when the related connection is configured, shown to you, approved by you, and successfully returns data. Connection or source Information it may provide Important boundary VA claims connection Disability claim records, claim status, and submission history returned by the authorized claims API. Read-only in Claim Raven. It does not file a new claim, change an existing claim, or establish that VA received something you saved inside Claim Raven. VA veteran-verification connection Veteran status, disability ratings, and service history covered by the scopes Claim Raven currently requests. Claim Raven does not currently request the available enrolled-benefits, flashes, disability-rating-summary, or permanent-and-total scopes. VA Data Bridge A point-in-time snapshot that you choose to import from your own signed-in VA.gov session. Depending on what the snapshot contains, it may include claims, ratings, or appeals. This is a veteran-initiated import, not a continuous VA OAuth feed. Later VA.gov changes do not automatically update an older snapshot. Live appeals connection Appeal status or appealable-issue data only when a supported VA API, production approval, Claim Raven configuration, and your authorization are all available. Do not assume live appeals access is active. VA currently restricts the Appeals Status API for third-party developers, and Claim Raven disables live appeals sync by default in production. Files and answers you provide Documents, chats, form answers, notes, or other content that you intentionally upload, enter, or save in a Claim Raven feature. This is separate from VA connected-app access. Review the feature notice and Privacy Policy before providing sensitive information.

What a VA connection does not authorize

It does not give Claim Raven your VA.gov, Login.gov, or ID.me password or security code. Never enter those credentials into a Claim Raven form or support message. It does not give automatic access to every VA, military, health, C-File, benefit, or appeal record. Access is limited to the data and permissions shown and approved for the available connection. It does not let Claim Raven change a VA record, disability rating, claim status, decision, or payment. It does not let Claim Raven sign or file a claim for you through the read-only connection. It does not mean VA endorses Claim Raven or that Claim Raven represents you before VA. Evidence upload is a separate capability and is currently paused QuickerSubmit is separate from Claim Raven's read-only VA connections. Claim Raven's release switch for VA Benefits Intake uploads is off while production approval and release requirements remain incomplete. Use the route named in your current VA notice or an official VA.gov submission option, and save proof of submission.

Why information may be missing or out of date

You may have approved only part of a multi-step VA connection, or a related API client may not be available in the current environment. VA may not return a data type through the permission Claim Raven currently uses. Live appeals access is not generally available to third-party apps in production right now. A VA Data Bridge import is a snapshot. You must run a new import when you want to bring in a newer available snapshot. Missing information in Claim Raven does not prove that VA lacks the record or that a claim, appeal, rating, or benefit does not exist. Check VA.gov and your source records.

Review or stop access

Review the VA authorization screen Read the requested permissions before you approve them. If the list is broader than you expect, do not continue and contact Claim Raven support without sending credentials or claim records. Check Claim Raven Connections Open Settings > Connections to see and manage the active Claim Raven VA connection available to your account. Check VA.gov Connected apps VA.gov lets you review and disconnect third-party apps. Disconnecting stops new VA profile information from reaching the app. Handle saved data separately Disconnecting future VA access does not automatically delete an existing VA Data Bridge snapshot, saved analysis, or the Claim Raven account. Use the applicable deletion control or verified account-deletion process when you also want stored Claim Raven data removed.
