VA Form 10182: Decision Review Request: Board Appeal (Notice of Disagreement)

What VA Form 10182 is for

Use this form to ask a Veterans Law Judge at the Board of Veterans' Appeals to review issues VA decided on or after February 19, 2019. In most cases the Board must receive it, or it must be postmarked, within one year from the date VA mailed the decision.

What you fill in by hand

The filler never asks for your Social Security number, VA file number, date of birth or signature. You write those in by hand. Leave these boxes for yourself:

• Item 2: VA file number
• Item 3: veteran's date of birth
• Item 5: your date of birth, if you are not the veteran
• More than five issues, or a written argument
• Items 12 and 13: signature and date

Where to send it

• By mail: Board of Veterans' Appeals, P.O. Box 27063, Washington, DC 20038.
• VA's Board Appeal page also lists filing online, in person at a VA regional office, or by fax.
• Deadline: in most cases the Board must receive it, or it must be postmarked, within one year from the date VA mailed the decision. A contested claim has 60 days. If you are opting in from a Statement of the Case in the old appeals system, it is 60 days from that statement or one year from the original decision, whichever is later.
• On the Evidence Submission option, note the date the Board received the form. Your 90 days start then.
• Keep the signed form, each issue and date, your attachments and your confirmation.
