They should make T-shirts that say "we can't help with that here. "

My partner and I had a terrible experience with this place. Extremely slow responses and processing times, with critical updates within only days of court date. We were let down and left wishing we invested the effort and little money we have into hiring a proper attorney. The sassy replies of their office via email as well as in person did not help either, simply distasteful, especially given our circumstances. The staff and male attorneys were super dismissive and sexist. They made us feel unwelcome and crazy. I recommend that you save yourself the trouble and find other resources or hire an attorney. Wish I could give this place minus stars.

Katherine Guzzi, Esq. should not be working with victims of crimes and people of color. She has no conflict resolution whatsoever. She doesn’t belong in a nonprofit organization such as this. She has no compassion for people who are processing trauma and trying to navigate the hardest times of their lives. She gave me false information on Tuesday 4/21. Her intern called me at 11:00 am on Tuesday asking me if I agreed or disagreed to postpone for my PFA hearing that was scheduled for 4/22. I told the intern I would need to discuss with my PAAR advocate. At 12:21 pm I received a call from Katie with her having an attitude saying “it wasn’t a matter of agreeing or disagreeing to postpone the hearing. The other party already postponed it.” Today on 4/22, I receive a call from my PAAR advocate stating that the other party showed up to the hearing and nothing was postponed. SHE RUINED MY LIFE! I HOPE SHES HAPPY!!!

The attorney I was assigned will not answer my phone calls text messages or anything. I'm going to try and see if they will give me a different attorney.
