Was told to go screw myself even as a DV victim with safety concerns pertaining the issues at hand. There are specific programs for DV victims but they just use a generalized form instead.

This call was a waste of time- useless
Was directed to them by another organization for help and was ignored. My friend who’s literally disabled and can’t work was referred to them for her DV case was told they couldn’t help her. A joke of an organization, donate directly to victims because these nonprofits are a scams and useless
Jane was very rude and nasty. She called me names after I was given an option, and was told that my decision was not the right one. Honestly, I was referred and I told the place that referred me that this would be a waste of time. And it was. If you do not like ppl or do not care to obtain culture training, then please do not work with the public. Being accusatory while someone may or may not be in dire need or danger is beneath unprofessional. I hope this unhinged person stays off my social accounts and carry on with the "thousands of cases" they dont help on a daily. When I called years ago (probably for the same matter) all I got was hung up on. So, be careful of you refer this place to your patients, customers, clients, etc. They may cause more HARM THAN HELP. Jane raised her voice and then accused me of being aggressive. Thats laughable. Maybe the rainy weather was getting to her. And thats a "lead attorney"? Wow and Yikes. Smh. Jane seems like she couldn't be a real attorney because she doesn't have good interpersonal skills. Asking questions that had NOTHING to do with my intake to just be nosey. Glad you think it isn't serious. This place is a joke & im convinced its there to pass through government funds for something else. Because judging by these reviews - YALL DONT HELP ANYONE. Anyone else that refers this joke of a resource I'll gladly tell them to stop referring and to get some real assistance.
I can not say enough about how great Legal Aid of Nebraska is and how much they helped me in my life! Philip S. Martin is absolutely terrific and Susan was so helpful and kind. Phil is so patient and understanding as well as just a super nice guy! He took the time to explain everything step by step with a smile and a funny story. I had absolutely no clue what I was doing (trying to file on my own). It was very confusing and so much paperwork that I did not know up from down lol. Thank God Phil took my case and walked me through it. He made everything very simple, clear and straight forward and was there to answer my questions quickly and with such patience. Thank you Phil and Susan!! You are amazing:)
