I was so stressed and overwhelmed before I called Mr. Kendall. I submitted a couple of claims from 2002 and by 2007 my claim was at the Medical Board in DC. I have no hope of being compensated for my disabilities. In 2010 upon my last denial working the claim on my own the VA offered the opportunity of hiring an attorney. They included a list of attorneys with denial letters. The list of attorneys was also overwhelmed because I did not know with certainty which one to call. I started researching the attorneys when I got to Mr. Kendall’s name, I immediately knew it was person I needed to work on my claim. My decision was based on a testimonial from a veteran that sounded as overwhelming and hopeless as I was before receiving his 100% compensation after 7 years. At that moment I knew I did not have to search any longer. Mr. Kendall, was whom I decided to give a call in 2010. He took the time to explain every single step of the process and answered all my questions without making me feel rushed. On my first call I noticed he was professional, honest, and incredibly responsive. Mr. Kendall kept me updated at every turn and never left me hanging. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience during such a difficult process. I have profound gratitude for his exceptional dedication and unwavering commitment to supporting veterans. His efforts have been truly invaluable, and I am particularly appreciative of his consistent support and perseverance, especially during moments when challenges arise. His steadfast commitment to my case had a significant and positive impact. I am certain that the favorable outcome would not have been possible without his and his team remarkable hard work, comprehensive knowledge, and resolute persistence. His expertise and tireless advocacy were instrumental in navigating the process successfully. Thanks to his invaluable assistance and all he does to help Veterans the entire time; we got a favorable result. I highly recommend Mr. Sean Kendall VETLAWUSA. Thank you, much appreciated! Megan Kondrachuck (my sincerest apologies if misspelled) was my attorney and is the best anyone could ask for. She answered every email and returned every call faster than I expected for busy firm. She's the nicest lady to speak with as a client, but a shark when helping veterans navigate the VA's waters. I'll be grateful to her and her staff until the day I die.

I reviewed the correspondence, and the strongest theme is not simply that John obtained a favorable result. It is the trust he earned throughout the process: he stayed on top of the case, explained what was happening and why, prepared you for exams, gave you candid strategic advice, pursued issues when the VA got things wrong, and remained responsive even after the major result was achieved. One detail that particularly stood out was his handling of the attorney fee—he immediately based it on the backpay you actually received rather than the higher anticipated amount. That says a lot about integrity. For a public Google review, I would make it personal without disclosing your specific medical conditions or financial amounts. I cannot say enough good things about John Ellis and the way he represented me throughout my VA disability case. From the beginning, John made me feel like I had someone genuinely in my corner. Anyone who has dealt with the VA knows how frustrating, confusing, and drawn out the process can become. John never made me feel like I was navigating it alone. He consistently kept me informed, explained what was happening in terms I could understand, answered my questions, and—most importantly—always seemed to be thinking several steps ahead about what we should do next. What impressed me most was how personally invested he seemed in getting this right. He prepared me for my VA examinations, pointed out important information in my records that I needed to understand, challenged decisions when he believed the VA got them wrong, handled appeals, communicated directly with VA decision-makers, and continued looking for every legitimate avenue available to strengthen my case. There were several times when I simply told John that I trusted his judgment and would follow his recommendation. That level of trust has to be earned, and he absolutely earned mine. His communication was also exceptional. Even when there wasn’t an immediate answer, John explained what was happening, what we were waiting for, what he expected to happen next, and what our options would be if things didn’t go our way. That gave me tremendous peace of mind during a process that otherwise creates a lot of uncertainty. Ultimately, the outcome of my case was life-changing for me and my family, and I will always be grateful for John’s role in getting us there. But my recommendation isn’t based solely on the outcome. It is based on how he treated me throughout the entire process—with professionalism, patience, honesty, responsiveness, knowledge, and genuine concern for doing what was right. Even after we received the major decision we had been working toward, John continued looking at an unresolved portion of the case to determine whether there was still more that should be pursued. That tells you everything you need to know about the kind of advocate he is. I also saw firsthand that integrity matters to him. When there was a discrepancy involving my backpay, John immediately made sure his fee was based only on what I had actually received rather than simply relying on the larger amount that had originally been calculated. I didn’t have to argue the point or ask him to do the right thing—he did it himself. There are a lot of attorneys who can process paperwork and file an appeal. What separates John Ellis is that I genuinely felt like I had an advocate who knew my case, cared about the outcome, communicated with me, and was willing to keep fighting when something wasn’t right. John, thank you. I told you during the process that you were more appreciated than you knew, and I meant it. My family and I are sincerely grateful for everything you did for us. If you are a veteran trying to navigate the VA disability and appeals process and are considering John Ellis, I recommend him without hesitation. I would trust him with my case again in a heartbeat. Five stars doesn’t adequately express how appreciative I am of the representation and support I received.

Sean Kendall and his team are amazing! Our only point of contact was through email, but the speed of returned questions and just overall getting everything done, was quick. We had a nexus letter connecting migraines secondary to ptsd, along with buddy statements, a migraine log, and the VA still denied the claim. Eventually you get tired of dealing with the VA, so we hired Sean and his team to help! They definitely know their stuff. We’re so happy with the outcome and how quick things were taken care of. Not saying every situation is the same, but our stuff was complete in less than 3 months. Thank you for helping us so much!
