Ask Raven with the right records and context
Choose the workspace for your question, inspect the sources used in the answer and return to the saved conversation.
Overview
Choose the context for your question before sending it. A general question and a question about a workspace do not necessarily use the same records.
Start a conversation
Open Ask Raven. Choose the intended workspace and conversation group where those controls are available, or start from Ask Raven inside the workspace. Check the workspace name before entering a record-specific question. Describe the question plainly. For example, ask which dates the selected records cover and which passage supports the answer. If you attach files, wait for them to become readable before sending. Starting a different conversation does not move a file already accepted into the first one.
Check the answer's sources
Open its citations and source details. Distinguish official reference material from your records. For workspace records, check the coverage and whether the answer used a summary or a record excerpt. A file can be linked to a workspace without its full contents having been read. A record-level receipt without a page location does not establish a page citation. Open the original when the answer needs surrounding context. Some retained references contain only excerpts or summaries. Read the displayed source coverage and use the original link when you need more. A citation is a way to inspect an answer, not a reason to skip that inspection.
Return to useful work
Use the saved conversation list to reopen the same discussion. Conversation groups organize chats; the workspace selection determines the record scope. Check both when starting another question. Where a document chat offers Save conversation, select it and wait for confirmation. Use the answer's note-saving control when you want a useful response in Notes, then open the saved note to check its content and links. Unsent text is not a confirmed account save. Before refreshing or closing a page, finish the available save action or keep your text elsewhere. Starting or reopening a saved conversation does not establish that every newer record has been included in its earlier answers.
If you cannot continue
If you cannot continue The answer uses the wrong scope or a file is not ready Check the workspace and conversation before sending. Read the attachment’s status and the answer’s coverage details. Wait for readable attachments or follow their recovery notice. Starting a new chat does not move files already accepted by another conversation.
