What is Ask Raven?
Ask Raven is an educational claims assistant. It can answer in plain language and may retrieve authority or saved Claim Raven context, but an answer can be incomplete, mistaken, or unsupported and never replaces the veteran's notice or current official source.
How does Ask Raven adjust answer depth?
Ask Raven may use deeper retrieval or reasoning for some questions, but no mode makes an answer legal, medical, or VA authority. Inspect the source receipt when present and verify the exact proposition you intend to use.

Use Ask Raven for bounded questions, terminology, source discovery, and issue organization. Keep separate conversations for separate issues, provide only necessary context, and verify any consequential answer before acting.
Are the AI tools accurate?
No AI tool is perfectly accurate. Claim Raven outputs can omit context, confuse sources, invent details, or preserve a user's mistaken premise. Compare the output with the original record and current primary authority, then correct or discard it.
Why am I being asked to consent to AI processing?
Claim Raven asks for separate AI consent because claim and document content can be sensitive and may be sent to contracted AI providers. Review the current notice before opting in. You can turn consent off in Settings for future consent-dependent processing.
