it would be nice if they ever bothered to return the initial phone call requesting services. You would think that with the word "AID" in their organization name they might be helpful, But youd be wrong.

I would not recommend Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County based on my experience. If you decide to use them, document EVERYTHING from day one until your last interaction: every phone call, date, time, who you spoke with, what you were told, every email, and every document you provide. Keep your own records because you may need them later. I contacted Legal Aid for assistance with serious housing issues involving Adopt-A-Family and provided them with documentation concerning my situation. Instead of receiving meaningful assistance, I was strung along for approximately three months. Calls and communications went unanswered or took weeks to receive a response, and I repeatedly tried to find out what was happening with my case while my housing situation remained unresolved. I eventually dealt with supervising attorney Tequisha Yvette Myles and learned that she was also connected to Adopt-A-Family as a board member—the same organization involved in the matter for which I had sought Legal Aid’s help. That was extremely concerning to me, particularly after I had already provided Legal Aid with documentation concerning my dispute. When I later filed a complaint with The Florida Bar, the situation became even more disturbing. In my complaint process, I received representations and documentation from Ms. Myles that I believe did not accurately reflect what actually occurred. Based on the emails and records I retained, I believe emails were altered or presented in a manner that made it appear she had been included in communications when she had not been. As an attorney, I find that conduct especially troubling. The Florida Bar ultimately chose not to pursue discipline. That decision does not change what I personally experienced or what my own records show. My biggest advice to anyone considering Legal Aid is: DO NOT rely solely on their records of your case. Keep your own paper trail. Screenshot emails. Save attachments. Write down names. Record the dates and times you call and exactly what you are told. When you’re dealing with housing and other time-sensitive legal problems, months of being strung along can have serious consequences. You could find yourself without your situation resolved, or even without housing, while believing someone is working on your case. I trusted Legal Aid with sensitive information because I was seeking legal assistance. After my experience, I would not trust this organization with another legal matter.

No stars. The worst place to try and get assistance. They can never assist and help you. It's always we are at a high capacity. Leave your name and number and no one ever retruns the call. The place needs to be shut down!!!

Last year Kristen Johnson and Attorney Anton Smith did an excellent job with my HOA case, I’m forever grateful and can’t thank them enough for all their hard work.
