Very disappointed with my representation. I spent about 25k, my lawyer had me send so much information to her and we never went in front of a judge. My balance kept getting higher and higher, I asked my lawyer from the beginning to limit the followups with opposing council bc she would follow up repeatedly unnecessarily and I would get charged for every follow up, to which she responded with multiple emails of pages upon pages arguing with me. Just very unprofessional. And I feel we never went in front of a judge, even though I think I had a pretty strong case, bc towards the end she made a comment about what a great rate she has for not having to go to trial. Just all around very unhappy and I am not unrealistic with my expectations. What I wanted to do was sit and wait for a court date instead of having 10 meetings and followups about the same information unnecessarily. His representation probably cost 1/3 of mine and he got what he wanted bc we were forced to settle. I was treated poorly and met with a condescending attitude and my lawyer appears to not even know the law. She was totally invested in holding a certain position and then after speaking with opposing council and $1,000s of dollars later, she totally changed her stance and we retreated with our whole case. Get a lawyer who fights for you. These people do not care about you or your family.
