My experience initially was to file an appeal for a claim denial. I filed an intention to file with the VA in April 2026. After my case was accepted they reviewed my medical information and found there were other conditions I could claim. I reviewed the list and chose the ones I actually had and agreed were caused by my service in the US Army. I got my own Nexus letters which were strong. Sent them to the firm for review after I received them and they had already filed for additional disabilities. Whole process took from April 2026 to October and I went from 10% service connected to 100%. I know my military experience gave me a lot of my conditions so I was pleased with my outcome. Hoffman Werner, the C&P examiners were so wonderful and really wrote phenomenal DBQ with articles attached. My law team, Nexus letters and last but not least the C&P examiners were a great team combo and really got the job done!!! Thank you Yorman for communicating with me via email and actually called me once. Highly recommended

The VA on multiple occasions seemed to point to the fact that I was represented by Vetlaw. Some seem to even be annoyed that I had representation which leads me to believe that Vetlaw adds extra pressure for the VA to process claims fairly and with dignity. Attorney Thaddaeus Cox and case manager Daniela Mantilla were my legal team that helped me. I also want to thank Nathalia Cortes and Lillian Pisciotta for helping with initial intake and getting my claims rolling. All you can ask for is for fair consideration of your claim by the VA and Vetlaw ensures that.

Watch out for them, I hired them to work on my VA claim, got an email that the claim was closed and I was entitled to a 6 figure back pay. Called them several times and nobody seems to know anything about it. Finally talked to someone to only say it was an accounting error and that email wasn’t meant to go out. Got another call today staying they no longer can represent me. Watch out for them!!

Choosing Werner, Hoffman, Greig & Garcia was absolutely the right decision for me and my family. Navigating the VA claims process can be frustrating and overwhelming, but the WHG team provided the knowledge, guidance, and support I needed every step of the way.
Special recognition goes to Mr. Werner and his paralegal, Melissa Medina. Melissa’s professionalism, knowledge, patience, and unwavering support have been exceptional. She even managed to tolerate my late-night and early-morning emails—often sent at hours when reasonable people are asleep!
There is a significant difference between simply having legal representation and feeling that someone is genuinely standing beside you. That has been my experience with Melissa and the entire WHG team.
WHG made the VA claims process feel more manageable by explaining each step, helping me understand my options, preparing me for what to expect, and advocating for my interests throughout the process. Their dedication, responsiveness, and veteran-focused approach gave me confidence that my claim was being handled with care and professionalism. I highly recommend WHG to any veteran seeking knowledgeable, compassionate, and dependable assistance with a VA claim. Five stars—and Melissa deserves a sixth for surviving my email schedule!
