I have literally came in 4 times about mold exposure (and recorded the last time) and it’s always an excuse why I can’t get assistance andi come the days and time the tell me to come back someone is always out of office they even had me leave my Info for a call back haven’t gotten a returned call about mold exposure I had the mold testing I paid $500 for hospital bills and terminated lease after I reported them to the authorities I don’t understand what’s wrong with my situation to where I can’t get assistance but I see other people getting consolation it’s almost like I’m being discriminated against. I give up I’m going to try another location to see if that’s possible

Just wanna say this I'm very very disappointed on how my case was handle at Legal Aid Society ... Signing all those papers and for what? Getting a attorney who can't remember rather she sent me papers or not, repeatedly replied with the same questions and having nothing done...SMH You suppose be my voice you suppose be fighting for me and my son and for I'll rights...Now we going be homeless next week on the streets cause you couldn't live up to your agreement for seeking justice for me and my son...lack of communication!!! Just very disappointed....I'm not saying to make my case your number one but at least care enough to let me know what's going on and to help to prevent me and my son for being homeless....And believe I have called the front desk and was told the supervisor was supposed be reaching out to me that was 2 weeks ago still waiting on that calll!!! If it was just me I swear I wouldn't be making a fuss but it's about my son...

Phoned Legail Aid due to a billing issue with a mortgage bank that caused a foreclosure date to be put on my home. Did the intake with Emma, verified income and then wasted 2 valuable days waiting for a lawyer to call because I was told I was one of the people being prioritized. Lawyer (Karen) calls and spends about an hour on the phone with what felt more like an interrogation then help. Just to finally finish with the questions and tell me that they dont have the resources to help people. If you are not going to physically help with paperwork and go to court with them. Then why does Legal Aid exist? And it cant just be to call people and tell them what their legal options are. And if you have your voicemail on all day with a statement that you are only accepting emergency cases.....it should mean that you actually accept the cases. One of the things that I was told was to contact the lawyer of the mortgage bank.....well I could have done that without wasting time with calling legal aid. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!!!! This organization exists just to get donations.....you are better off going straight to a paid lawyer that will actually take your case.
