About
I'm a U.S. Air Force veteran and VA-accredited attorney who helps fellow veterans navigate the VA disability claims and appeals process. I founded the Law Office of D.C. Burnette, PLLC, to provide practical, personal legal assistance to veterans. I believe veterans deserve clear answers, honest advice, and the freedom to choose how much legal help they need. My practice offers free initial-claim representation for accepted cases, limited-scope legal services for eligible claims, and full representation for VA disability appeals. Limited-scope services may include reviewing VA decisions, evaluating evidence, and helping veterans understand their appeal options. I also represent veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. As a fellow veteran, I understand how frustrating the VA process can be. My goal is to help you make informed decisions, whether you need focused legal advice or someone to handle your appeal. Legal services are provided independently by my firm, not by Claim Raven. Paid representation is available only when permitted under VA attorney-fee rules. You served. You deserve to be heard.

Claim Raven is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. We do not recommend or endorse any attorney or claims agent. Listings come from VA's public accreditation records. Paid placements are advertising. Check an attorney's accreditation on VA's accreditation search before you hire them.
VA accreditation allows a person to represent claimants before VA. It is not a recommendation. Attorneys are lawyers; claims agents are accredited non-attorneys. A VSO can provide free claims help. Confirm current accreditation in VA's official search.
