Jeep, Ram, Dodge, Chrysler (Stellantis) checks military status through SheerID, then a dealer authorization number.
- Accepted proof
- Stellantis says you may be asked for qualifying documentation and does not list it. SheerID's FAQ asks for a government-issued document showing your name, branch, current status and discharge date if you have one.
- How long it takes
- The brand pages do not state a review time.
- At the register
- The dealer needs a valid code from the verification link. The pages offer no card-only route.
- Without a smartphone
- The pages offer no route outside the online verification link. Deployed members overseas are pointed to Military AutoSource instead.
- Recently separated
- Veterans have 12 months from the discharge date, and the discharge must be honorable. A document that shows the discharge date helps if SheerID cannot confirm you from records.
- Privacy
- SheerID's FAQ says it asks for your status, branch, name, date of birth and email. You may black out unrelated details on any document you upload.
- Verifying again
- Each purchase needs a valid code at the time of sale, and the current terms require delivery by January 4, 2027.
