Does Vans have a military discount?

Vans's own website does not offer or describe a military discount, so veterans and active duty pay the same prices as other shoppers. Veterans enrolled in college can use Vans's 15 percent student discount through SheerID, and Vans refunds a Vans.com price drop within 14 days.

Ways veterans can save on clothing and shoes instead

  • Vans student discount: Vans gives 15 percent off to full-time or part-time students at accredited U.S. colleges and universities after SheerID verification, once every 30 days. A veteran enrolled in college qualifies on the same terms.
  • Vans Family: Vans's member program gives 15 percent off for 7 days after you join, free standard shipping on orders of $50 or more, and member offers.
  • Vans price adjustment: If the Vans.com price drops within 14 days of your purchase, Vans refunds the difference, up to two adjustments a month.
  • Nike: Nike publishes a 10 percent military discount for veterans after verification.

Who qualifies

Vans publishes no military discount, so it names no military group. Its student discount covers full-time or part-time students at accredited U.S. colleges and universities.

Not stated by Vans: veterans, active duty, National Guard and Reserve, retirees, veterans rated 100 percent disabled, spouse of active duty, spouse of a veteran, surviving spouse, Gold Star family, dependents and caregivers.

With no published military discount, Vans's own offers set the price. Students get 15 percent once every 30 days, and new Vans Family members get 15 percent off for 7 days after joining. Neither offer combines with other discounts.

If the discount does not work

A site lists a Vans military code

Vans's own pages publish no military discount, so a code sold as military is not a Vans offer. The Vans offers page lists its current promotions.

The student code will not work a second time

Each student code works once. You can get a new one every 30 days by verifying again through SheerID.

An outlet refused the student discount

Vans says the in-store student discount works only at full-price Vans stores, not outlets. Show the store associate your valid student ID.

A price drop was not refunded

Vans adjusts only Vans.com purchases, within 14 days, for the same item still in stock. Sitewide promotions, final sale items and in-store pickup orders are excluded.

A VA benefit that may be worth more

VA clothing allowance

VA may pay $1,053.19 when a device or prescribed skin medicine for a service-connected disability damages clothing. First-time claims and changes to devices or medicines require an application by August 1. Approved recurring awards do not require another annual application when the relevant devices and medicines have not changed.

Apply with VA's online clothing allowance application, or use paper Form 10-8678a (June 2026) and the Claims Intake Center instructions on VA's prosthetics page.

The August 1, 2026 deadline has passed. Follow VA's instructions for the benefit year you are claiming.
