How do I sign up?
To create a Claim Raven account, use the Claim Raven sign-up page to create an email-and-password account. You can use a free account without connecting a VA.gov account. ID.me and Login.gov are for signing in to VA.gov and, only when a live Claim Raven VA connection is available and you choose it, for the separate VA authorization flow; Claim Raven does not receive those provider passwords. AI document analysis is a separate optional consent choice. Review the Terms and Privacy Policy before creating an account, and never enter real VA credentials in a screen identified as sandbox or demo.
Overview
Signup is separate from VA.gov Create the Claim Raven account with an email address and a Claim Raven password. Do not reuse or enter your VA.gov, Login.gov, or ID.me password. A later VA authorization, when genuinely available and chosen by you, should open the provider's separate sign-in and permission flow.
Create your Claim Raven account
Open the Sign Up tab Go directly to Claim Raven's Sign Up tab. Confirm the page says Create your free account or Start your workspace and that the selected tab says Sign Up. Do not begin from a VA authorization screen. Enter an email address you control Use an address you can access for account messages and password recovery. Ordinary support should never ask for the password to that email account. Create a separate Claim Raven password Follow the password requirements displayed under the field. Use a unique password that is not your VA.gov, Login.gov, ID.me, banking, or primary email password. Claim Raven stores a one-way password hash rather than the plain password, but a unique password still limits harm if any service is compromised. Add only the optional details you want to provide The current form allows a first name and, under Optional details, a last name and referral source. These fields are not a substitute for VA identity verification. Review the current Privacy Policy before providing information you do not need for account use. Make the AI consent choice separately The AI document-analysis checkbox starts off. Leave it off if you do not want uploaded material processed by contracted AI providers yet. You can create the account without selecting it and review or change the setting later. Review the legal links and submit Open the current Terms of Service and Privacy Policy from the form, then select Create Free Account only when you agree. This is account creation, not VA filing, paid checkout, or VA authorization. Follow the result shown on screen A newly created account will normally continue into the signed-in welcome step when the session is established. If the page instead asks you to log in, use the same Claim Raven email and password or the password-reset option. The response intentionally does not confirm whether an email already has an account.
Understand the optional AI consent
AI consent is not the same as agreeing to the Terms or Privacy Policy. The account can be created while AI consent remains off. AI consent is not permission to connect to VA.gov. VA authorization, if available, has its own separate permission screen. When selected, the signup notice says submitted content may be sent to contracted AI providers and that masking is not guaranteed before raw visual analysis. Submit only material you are authorized to use. You can change AI consent later in Settings. Turning it off stops future consent-dependent AI processing; use the applicable deletion controls separately for content already saved to the account.
VA.gov connection is a different step
Create the Claim Raven account first The email-and-password account gives you access to the Claim Raven workspace. It does not verify veteran status or bring VA records into the workspace. Use VA's current identity providers only on the official flow VA's current guidance uses Login.gov or ID.me for VA.gov sign-in. Create, recover, or verify one of those accounts through the official provider or VA.gov—not through a Claim Raven password field. Read every permission before approving a connected app VA says connected-app access is optional and permission-specific. Continue only when Claim Raven presents an approved live connection, the authorization page belongs to the expected provider, and the requested information matches what you intend to share. Stop in sandbox or demo The checked Claim Raven VA configuration uses sandbox endpoints. If any screen identifies itself as sandbox or demo, do not enter real VA.gov, Login.gov, or ID.me credentials. Creating an account does not act on a VA claim Signup does not file a claim, submit evidence, select a review lane, appoint a representative, change a VA record, or prove that VA received anything. Keep using the official VA route and the instructions in the current notice for claim actions and deadlines.
If signup does not finish
Confirm that the Sign Up tab—not Log In—is selected and that you are using the public Claim Raven login route. Read the exact password or validation message and correct only the field identified. Do not send a password, multifactor code, or recovery code to support. If the service says there were too many signup attempts, stop and wait for the displayed retry period instead of submitting repeatedly. If the page moves you to Log In, try the Claim Raven password or the password-reset path. Repeating signup cannot safely tell you whether the email already belongs to an account. For a support-safe report, include the approximate time, browser, page address, selected tab, and visible error text. Do not include credentials, VA identifiers, claim records, medical details, tokens, or an unredacted screenshot.
What signup does not require or prove
It does not require an ID.me or Login.gov account to create the Claim Raven email-and-password account. It does not require you to connect VA.gov or share VA data. It does not automatically turn on AI data consent. It does not verify service history, veteran status, disability ratings, claims, appeals, or benefit eligibility. It does not start a paid subscription or authorize a recurring charge. Review separate price, renewal, refund, and cancellation disclosures before any later checkout.
