Can I use Claim Raven on my phone?

You can open Claim Raven's website in a phone browser; there is no Claim Raven app-install or download step in this web flow. The layout includes mobile breakpoints, but feature availability can depend on the page, device, browser, network, and permissions. Use a personal, up-to-date device for sensitive work, avoid uploading or downloading records on a shared device when possible, and sign out when you finish. VA Data Bridge is an important exception: its bookmarklet transfer requires a bookmarks bar and must be completed on a desktop or laptop.

Overview

Use the Claim Raven website Open claimraven.com directly in an up-to-date phone browser. This checked web flow does not require a Claim Raven app download. Do not install an unrelated app or browser extension that claims to be Claim Raven, and never give another app your Claim Raven, VA.gov, Login.gov, or ID.me credentials.

What you can reasonably do on a phone

Read public Claim Raven pages, Claims Guide chapters, and Help Center articles in a mobile browser. Open the Claim Raven sign-up or login page and use account pages that adapt to the current screen width. Use individual tools when their own page and instructions support the device, browser permissions, file type, and task you need. Switch to a desktop or laptop whenever a page says one is required or a phone browser cannot expose the needed control.

Important exception: VA Data Bridge needs a computer

The current VA Data Bridge transfer uses a Claim Raven bookmarklet that must be placed in a browser bookmarks bar. Phone browsers do not provide the required bookmarks-bar flow, so continue that task on a desktop or laptop. Do not try to work around the requirement by pasting credentials, authorization codes, or exported VA information into support messages. Raven Eye is a separate optional tool A phone may offer Raven Eye to photograph and explain a VA letter. That AI-assisted letter-reading flow does not complete a VA Data Bridge import. Review the current AI consent and privacy disclosures before sending any document, and use only records you are authorized to share.

Uploads, downloads, and sign-ins can differ

File pickers, camera access, downloads, clipboard actions, pop-up windows, cookies, and partner sign-in pages vary by browser, device settings, and permissions. A larger screen may be easier for reviewing long documents, comparing pages, printing, or managing several files. Ease of use is not proof that a claim action or upload succeeded. Follow the exact confirmation shown by the tool or official service. For VA claim actions, the current VA notice and official filing route control the task, deadline, and proof of receipt. Do not assume that a file saved by the browser was uploaded, or that signing out removes a copy already saved to the phone.

Protect sensitive records on a phone

Use a personal, current device when possible Keep the operating system and browser updated, use a screen lock, and avoid public or shared devices for claim records, medical documents, credentials, or identity information. Check what the browser saves Uploads may begin from Photos, Files, or a cloud-storage provider, and downloads may remain in a device folder after the web session ends. Use only authorized records and remove local copies yourself when you no longer need them. Sign out when you finish Signing out ends the Claim Raven server session and clears its session-cookie variants. It does not promise to delete browser history, local preferences, autofill entries, screenshots, or files already downloaded to the device. Keep credentials and codes out of support Claim Raven support should not receive passwords, multifactor or recovery codes, Social Security numbers, VA file numbers, access tokens, or unredacted records merely to troubleshoot a phone page.

If a page does not work on your phone

Refresh the page, confirm the browser is current, check the network, and review only the permissions needed for the task. Read any page-specific notice before changing cookie, pop-up, camera, clipboard, or file permissions. Try the same public route on a desktop or laptop when a control is unavailable, a document is hard to review, or the page instructs you to switch devices. For a support-safe report, include the device model, operating-system version, browser and version, page address, approximate time, and exact non-sensitive error text. Do not attach credentials, codes, claim records, medical details, tokens, or an unredacted screenshot.

What phone access does not change

Using a phone does not give Claim Raven broader access to VA.gov or your device. It does not turn on optional AI data consent, authorize a VA connection, or appoint Claim Raven as a representative. It does not file a claim, upload evidence to VA, choose a review lane, calculate a deadline, or prove that VA received anything. You remain in control of whether to continue, switch devices, upload a record, authorize a connection, or use an AI-assisted tool.
