What's the difference between Free and the paid plans?

Free is a no-cost way to use the currently available free features and try a limited set of Claim Raven AI tools with one-time starter allowances. Lite, Standard, and Plus add different recurring allowances and features; they are not one paid bundle with identical access. The current Pricing page shows the offered plans and amounts, and the exact checkout disclosure controls what a new subscription will charge and renew. No plan guarantees live VA data, a Claim Raven alert, a VA deadline reminder, or a claim outcome.

Overview

Use the current Pricing page before paying This article explains the checked plan structure, not an account-specific offer. Confirm the plan name, included features, amount, billing period, renewal terms, taxes, discount, and cancellation disclosure on the current Pricing page and checkout immediately before you authorize a charge. Stop if the checkout does not match what you intended.

The practical difference by plan

Current high-level comparison. Exact limits appear below and should be rechecked on the live Pricing page. Plan Current role Important limit Free Use available free features and one-time starter allowances for Ask Raven, Raven Eye, Raven Scribe, Gap Analysis, and limited Raven Research. Starter allowances do not renew; Raven Scan, expert mode, buddy-letter requests, and alert allowances are not included. Raven Lite Adds full Raven Research and Raven Insights, Ask Raven fair-use access, and light monthly Raven Eye, Raven Scribe, and Gap Analysis allowances. No Raven Scan, expert mode, buddy-letter requests, or SMS/email alert allowance. Raven Standard Adds higher monthly tool limits, expert mode, buddy-letter requests, advanced documents, alert allowances, and priority support. Raven Scan is not included; an alert allowance does not create an unavailable event producer or guarantee delivery. Raven Plus Adds the highest listed recurring allowances, early access, and one included Raven Scan Standard Scan in a rolling 30-day window. Deep Review is sold separately, and an included or listed feature still depends on its current product and environment availability.

Current starter and recurring limits

Free: 20 one-time Ask Raven starter messages, 1 Raven Eye decode, 1 Raven Scribe draft, 1 Gap Analysis run, and limited Raven Research access. These are starter allowances, not monthly renewals. Raven Lite: Ask Raven fair use up to 75 messages per day and 2,250 per month; 1 Raven Eye run, 5 Raven Scribe drafts, and 1 Gap Analysis run per month; no expert-mode allowance. Raven Standard: Ask Raven fair use up to 150 messages per day and 4,500 per month, plus 10 expert-mode messages, 15 Raven Eye runs, 10 Raven Scribe drafts, and 5 Gap Analysis runs per month. Raven Plus: Ask Raven fair use up to 300 messages per day and 9,000 per month, plus 20 expert-mode messages, 30 Raven Eye runs, 25 Raven Scribe drafts, and 10 Gap Analysis runs per month. Catalog-listed alert allowances: Standard currently lists 25 SMS and 25 email alerts per month; Plus lists 50 of each. Counter enforcement is feature-specific, and a listed allowance does not promise that a general claim-status or appeal alert exists or will be delivered. Raven Scan: Plus currently includes 1 Standard Scan in a rolling 30-day window. A Deep Review requires its own paid credit unless a separate, specifically disclosed program entitlement applies. Unlimited still has fair-use limits The paid Ask Raven marketing label does not mean uncapped use. Daily and monthly fair-use caps still apply. Expert mode, document tools, statement tools, Gap Analysis, alerts, and Raven Scan have their own separate limits.

Plans and purchases that need separate treatment

Alerts Only: The catalog contains this plan, but the public Pricing page currently treats it as disabled while the required VA alert integration is unavailable. Do not assume it can be purchased because a historical name or price appears elsewhere. Alerts + Chat: This is a legacy plan for existing subscribers and is hidden from the public plan order. It is not a current new-signup choice. Founding access: This is an existing-member status with Plus-level features and different limits, not a public paid plan for a new subscriber. Raven Scan credits, Raven Cipher C-File work, individual research reports, and other one-time products can have separate prices and entitlements. A subscription comparison does not turn them into included benefits. Pathfinder: Pathfinder is a separate fixed-term educational software offer with its own included access and terms. Do not infer the Pathfinder price, duration, refund rule, or C-File entitlement from this subscription FAQ.

What a paid plan does not prove

That a live VA claims or appeals connection is available in the current environment or authorized for your account. That every visible alert preference has an active event producer, provider path, or retry process. That an SMS, email, reminder, status card, estimate, or notification will arrive before a deadline. That a tool output is complete, accurate, medical advice, legal advice, or a VA decision. That Claim Raven files a claim, chooses a review option, acts as an accredited representative, or guarantees an award.

Choose without guessing

Start with the task you actually need List the one or two tools you expect to use and how often. Do not upgrade only because a feature name appears in a broad comparison. Check the live plan card Open the public Pricing page and compare the current plan names, feature list, usage limits, billing periods, and any unavailable-plan notice. Separate subscription access from availability Read the feature's own page or Help Center article. A plan can permit a feature while a VA integration, alert producer, provider, account permission, or separate credit is still unavailable. Review the exact checkout disclosure Before authorizing payment, confirm the plan, charge, tax, billing frequency, renewal, discount duration, and cancellation method. Do not rely on a saved screenshot, old email, search result, or this article for the final amount. Verify the account after a change Use the Billing page to confirm the plan recorded on the account. Then check the specific tool's allowance or access message rather than assuming every feature changed at once.

If the plan and feature do not match

If the plan and feature do not match The Pricing page lists a feature, but the tool asks for an upgrade or credit. Confirm the current plan shown in Billing. Check whether the task has a separate monthly limit, one-time credit, expert allowance, scan mode, or environment gate. Review whether the allowance has already been used in the current period. Use the exact tool message and current Billing record. For support, share the plan name, page, approximate time, and non-sensitive error text; do not send a payment card, VA record, medical document, password, or verification code. An alert allowance appears on the plan, but no alert arrives. Confirm that the specific event has an active Claim Raven producer. Review the channel setting, verification, provider availability, consent, and destination. Check VA.gov and the complete VA notice directly instead of waiting. Treat the alert as unavailable until both the event producer and channel are confirmed. An allowance does not extend a deadline or prove that no VA activity occurred. Raven Scan asks for a separate credit on Plus. Confirm whether the requested mode is Standard Scan or Deep Review. Check whether the included Standard Scan for the current period was already used. Review any separately purchased scan credit before starting work. Plus includes a Standard Scan allowance, not Deep Review. Do not authorize a separate purchase unless the product clearly identifies the scan mode, price, and credit you intend to buy. The account shows Alerts + Chat, Founding, or another plan not offered publicly. Do not change the account just to make it match the public plan list. Review the current Billing page and applicable Terms for the existing plan. Record only non-sensitive plan and invoice details needed for support. Existing or legacy access can have different terms and limits. Use the account's current Billing record rather than treating a public new-signup comparison as a migration instruction. For a billing or entitlement mismatch, share the plan name, product page, approximate time, and non-sensitive error text. Do not include a full card number, bank information, password, verification code, VA identifier, claim record, medical document, or unredacted screenshot.
