Evidence Upload: Use the Current VA Route

Claim Raven can help you organize evidence, but direct VA upload through QuickerSubmit is currently paused. For evidence supporting a pending initial disability claim, VA currently directs you to the claim status tool. For a decision review or appeal, VA currently directs you to QuickSubmit. A VA notice, current form, or benefit-specific page may give a different route or date, so read it before sending anything. Save the exact packet, attachment list, route, date, time, and confirmation; a confirmation or Claim Raven history entry does not by itself prove that VA associated, accepted, or acted on the evidence.

Overview

Direct Claim Raven upload is paused The shared QuickerSubmit release switch is off, and the authenticated upload endpoint returns an unavailable response before attempting a VA transfer. Organizing a file in Claim Raven, seeing an old submission-history entry, or opening the disabled tool does not send evidence to VA. Use the current official route yourself.

Choose the route by the exact task

Pending initial disability claim: VA currently directs additional evidence to the claim status tool. VA's FAQ says this uploader is for evidence supporting an initial claim, not for filing the claim form itself and not for a decision review or appeal. Decision review or appeal: VA currently directs evidence uploads to QuickSubmit. The evidence rules differ by review lane. For example, a Supplemental Claim generally involves new and relevant evidence, while other lanes have different rules. Do not use an upload page to choose a lane. New claim or required form: Use VA's current filing page or form instructions. The claim status evidence uploader is not a way to file a new claim or substitute an evidence file for a required form. Specific VA request: Read every page of the notice. Its task, date, address, portal, form, evidence rule, and benefit type can control even when a general article describes another route. Another benefit or document type: Start from the current VA page for that benefit or document. Do not assume a disability-compensation route applies to health care, pension, survivor, education, insurance, or another program.

Prepare, send, and preserve proof

Identify the exact matter Write down the claim, issue, review or appeal type, notice date, requested task, and stated response date. Keep the complete notice beside your working copy. Open the current official instructions Go directly to VA.gov or the official route named in the notice. Check that the page matches the matter and stage before signing in or attaching a file. Check the packet before sending Confirm that every page is present, readable, upright, and associated with the intended issue. Preserve original records separately and use a working copy for upload. Do not put unnecessary personal information in a filename. Follow the route's current limits Check the official page for accepted file types, size limits, form restrictions, and alternatives on the day you submit. Do not use the disabled Claim Raven endpoint's historical file rules as VA guidance. Save a transmission record Keep the exact files, attachment list, route or address, date, time, confirmation page, reference number, tracking record, and any later VA acknowledgment together. Avoid relying on a screenshot that omits the route or attachments. Verify a consequential submission Check the official VA record when available. If the item is missing, a deadline is near, or the route may have been wrong, contact VA through a current official channel or work with a VA-accredited representative. Do not automatically send duplicates without checking. A confirmation is not proof of legal effect A confirmation can help show that a transmission step occurred. It does not by itself prove that VA matched the file to the intended matter, accepted it as timely, found it complete or legally sufficient, considered it, or changed the official record. Preserve the confirmation and verify consequential details through VA.

Do not wait because a general window sounds long

VA's current disability-evidence page says to upload evidence as soon as possible and warns that VA may decide a standard pending claim before the outer evidence period ends. It also explains that adding evidence can change Fully Developed Claim processing. A specific notice may require action sooner or through a different route. This article does not calculate a deadline; use the date and instructions that apply to the exact matter.

What Claim Raven does and does not do

Claim Raven can help keep working copies, evidence tasks, statements, and issue context organized in a Claim Workspace. Claim Raven's direct Benefits Intake upload is not currently available under the shared browser and API release gate. An old Claim Raven submission-history row is a historical product record, not necessarily the current VA record and not proof that a new file was sent. Claim Raven does not select the correct decision-review lane, calculate a deadline, decide whether evidence is legally sufficient, or confirm that VA considered it. Claim Raven is not VA, QuickSubmit, the VA claim status tool, or an accredited representative. Use a private device and the official page Evidence can contain medical, service, family, financial, and identifying information. Open the official VA page directly, review any Limited Privacy Policy shown for the collection page, and protect downloaded confirmations. Do not send Claim Raven support a password, multifactor code, Social Security number, VA file number, medical record, decision letter, or unredacted screenshot.

If upload or receipt is unclear

If upload or receipt is unclear QuickerSubmit says direct uploads are paused. Do not retry the disabled Claim Raven endpoint or enter identifiers to test it. Identify whether the matter is a pending initial claim, decision review, appeal, specific VA request, or another benefit type. Open the current official VA guidance and the controlling notice. Organize the working copy in Claim Raven if useful, then submit through the official route yourself and save proof. A document is not listed in the VA claim status tool. Compare the exact claim and file you sent. Remember that VA says the tool may not list documents sent by mail, fax, or in person, or documents restricted for privacy. Review your confirmation, tracking record, and the newest VA notice. A missing online entry does not prove receipt or non-receipt. Use an official VA contact when association, timing, or a required action matters. The official uploader rejects the file. Recheck the official page's current file type and size limits. Confirm that you are uploading evidence rather than trying to file a claim form through the evidence uploader. Use only an alternative route that VA currently lists for that matter. Preserve the original file and error text. Convert or split only a working copy when the official instructions allow it. You may have used the wrong route or matter. Do not delete the original packet, confirmation, or timestamp. Read the complete notice and current benefit-specific instructions. Contact VA or a VA-accredited representative before creating avoidable duplicates when time permits. Document the mismatch and follow the current official correction instructions; a Claim Raven history edit cannot change VA's record. For a Claim Raven display problem, contact support with the page name, approximate time, browser, and non-sensitive error text. Do not attach the evidence, notice, confirmation, tracking ID, password, code, identifier, or unredacted screenshot.
